About Lorum

Lorum Global payments are not broken. Incentives are. Clearing has been deprioritized inside balance sheet driven institutions whose models rely on lending and interest. When liquidity takes priority over settlement, payments slow and certainty drops. The same financial institutions that distort clearing as providers are disadvantaged as users. They are forced into fragmented setups, inconsistent rails, duplicated compliance, and unpredictable timelines. Stablecoin shortcuts and treasury pooling treat symptoms at the surface, but almost no one is rebuilding the underlying infrastructure in each market.

Rebuilding Clearing from the Ground Up

We are rebuilding clearing as its own specialist function. We act as a clearing and transaction banking partner for regulated institutions, with treasury built into the core so liquidity, settlement, and reconciliation sit in one controlled system. Our platform unifies global and local licenses, direct central bank clearing, and domestic rails. We allow clients to open named customer accounts in every market we operate, collecting funds and paying out through a single network while retaining full ownership of their customer relationships. Market expansion becomes as simple as one correspondent relationship, not hundreds.

Why Lorum

Joining Lorum means contributing to one of the most ambitious clearing infrastructure projects in global finance. You will help shape settlement systems that perform under real regulatory standards and institutional volumes. You will build for regulated institutions that rely on precision, predictable timelines, and regulatory integrity. It is about working across currencies, markets, and supervisory frameworks to deliver reliable, final settlement.

The Role

We are looking for a Talent Acquisition Partner to join our London office and help us bring in the people who will deliver this. The pace is fast, the bar is high, and your time at Lorum should be the highest growth period of your career. You will own the end‑to‑end hiring process for a portfolio of roles across the business, partnering closely with hiring managers from kickoff through offer close. This is a true generalist seat. One week you might be running an engineering search, the next you are screening a content lead or driving a high‑volume sales build‑out across our UK and international teams. You will not just be filling roles. You will be raising the bar on how Lorum hires. That means tightening role scoping upfront so we go to market with clarity, running structured intake meetings, holding hiring managers to the conviction‑based scoring standard we have set, and protecting candidate experience all the way through.

What You Will

  • Run full‑cycle recruitment, with a focus on our London and broader UK hiring, and contribute to global roles as needed
  • Lead hiring kickoff meetings and produce sharp, single‑source‑of‑truth hiring briefs before going to market
  • Source actively. Sourcing is owned by Talent at Lorum. You will be hands on with LinkedIn, Kula (our ATS), referrals, and direct outreach, not just managing inbound
  • Run talent screens (30 to 45 min) that genuinely filter for fit, motivation, and expectations
  • Hold hiring managers to our interview scoring standard (Strong Hire, Hire, No Hire, Strong No Hire) and partner with them when scorecards need sharpening
  • Manage offers end to end, including comp benchmarking, ESOP explanations, and closing calls
  • Be a true partner to hiring managers, building real relationships and earning the right to challenge them when the brief, the bar, or the process drifts
  • Contribute to building out our talent function: process, tooling, interview standards, and team rituals like Talent Weekly

Who You Are

We are looking for someone with three to five years in talent acquisition, ideally across a mix of technical and commercial roles. Beyond the experience, here is what actually matters:

  • Adaptable and scrappy. You move fast, take initiative, and lean toward action when you have enough information to make a sensible call
  • Growth mindset. You actively seek feedback, are honest with yourself when you got something wrong, and adjust quickly. This is important to us
  • Care about partnership as much as you care about pipeline. The best TA partners we have worked with are the ones hiring managers want in the room because they make the bar sharper, the process smoother, and the decision better
  • Strong communicator. You write clearly, push back kindly, and are comfortable giving and receiving feedback directly
  • Deep empathy. You read candidates well, you read hiring managers well, and you can hold both sides of a hiring process with care
  • Operationally tight. You stay on top of pipelines, follow through on commitments, and protect candidate experience
  • Hands on and resourceful. You unblock yourself, use the tools and people available, and surface real blockers early

How We Work

A few things that are true at Lorum and worth knowing before you apply:

  • We are big believers in direct, in‑the‑moment feedback. We give it warmly, and we genuinely want to receive it too
  • We give people room to make calls and the occasional mistake. What matters is learning quickly and being honest when something needs course correction
  • We treat probation as a real two‑way check‑in. It is a chance for us to support you well, and for both of us to make sure this is the right fit
  • The role is hands on. Sourcing, scheduling, coordination, candidate updates all sit with the Talent Partner, and we love teammates who roll their sleeves up
  • This is an on‑site role based in our London office

Compensation & Benefits

£70,000 to £90,000 + ESOP (share options)

  • Flexible vacation policy
  • Private medical insurance
  • Generous annual leave plus UK public holidays
  • Workplace pension
  • Pay it forward days – we offer 2 annual pay it forward days where you can take time to volunteer for a charitable cause that is important to you.
  • Wellness days – we believe you can only work your best when you feel your best, and we know working at Lorum is intense, so we offer 3 wellness days every quarter where you can take time to re‑energise

Equal Opportunity

Lorum is an equal opportunity employer. We are committed to building a team that reflects a diversity of backgrounds, perspectives, and experiences, and we do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, colour, national origin, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, marital status, veteran status, or disability status.
