Our Supply Chain Manager will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end supply chain operations at Neal’s Yard Remedies, ensuring operational efficiency across supply chain functions. The role will focus on optimising customer fulfilment, maintaining stock availability, and implementing best-in-class supply chain solutions.
Day to day, the Supply Chain Manager will:
- Oversee stock control to ensure alignment with financial targets and support procurement in maintaining appropriate supplier stock levels.
- Assist the Ethical Sourcing Manager in reviewing and optimising the supply base to support future business growth.
- Manage and update stock holding policies to ensure alignment with inventory policies and supply chain capabilities.
- Work with third-party suppliers to ensure smooth supply chain operations.
- Develop accurate forecasts in collaboration with various business channels.
- Monitor and address forecast demand issues at the earliest stage.
- Support the leadership team in ensuring the supply chain is agile and adaptable to future requirements.
- Participate in the Sales and Operations Planning cycle, preparing necessary reports.
- Oversee capacity planning to ensure efficient factory utilisation.
- Supervise production planning and scheduling to maximise efficiency while identifying and managing risks such as capacity constraints and obsolescence.
- Manage finished goods inventory, ensuring optimal stock levels.
- Analyse and report on key supply chain metrics, including forecast accuracy, stock availability, and customer service ratings.
- Proactively resolve out-of-stock situations and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Enhance operational efficiency by maximising the use of existing systems and reducing transactional activities.
- Support project teams in optimising supply chain processes, including product lifecycle management and inventory expiry date management.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including NPD and Marketing, to ensure supply chain considerations are integrated into strategic initiatives.
- Provide guidance, coaching, and motivation to the supply chain team to enhance performance and teamwork.
- Promote and maintain a positive health and safety culture within the department.
