Join to apply for the Financial Accountant role at Neal\’s Yard Remedies. This interim role runs from October 2025 to January 2026 during a critical statutory audit period. The role is focused on ensuring accurate and timely preparation of financial statements, supporting audit queries, and maintaining compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
You will manage day-to-day interactions with auditors, respond quickly to questions and data requests, and prepare and review comprehensive audit schedules.
You will manage income statement areas including revenue, inventory, fixed assets, provisions and accruals, while preparing statutory financial statements and disclosures. You will also assist with month- and year-end close activities, balance sheet reconciliations, journal reviews, and preparations for accruals and prepayments.
This is an interim role from October 2025 to January 2026.
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day interactions with auditors and respond to audit queries and data requests
- Prepare and review comprehensive audit schedules
- Oversee income statement areas: revenue, inventory, fixed assets, provisions and accruals
- Prepare statutory financial statements and disclosures
- Assist with month- and year-end close activities
- Conduct balance sheet reconciliations and journal reviews
- Prepare accruals and prepayments and perform reconciliations
Qualifications
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA or ACCA)
- Strong technical knowledge of financial reporting and statutory accounts
- Confident communicator able to work collaboratively across teams and with auditors
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Experience of Netsuite or similar system would be an advantage
