We are an independent business committed to supporting farmhouse cheesemaking through long-term, values-driven relationships with cheesemakers and customers alike. Our aim is to offer the highest quality cheese, sold by flavour and provenance rather than price point or branding.
We are seeking a Wholesale Team Coordinator to join our busy Wholesale & Export team based in Bermondsey. This is a multi-faceted role supporting the Department Manager in coordinating daily tasks and team activities, while contributing to sales targets and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will be highly organised, commercially minded, and passionate about delivering outstanding service in a fast-paced environment.
About the Role
You will play a key role in supporting and prioritising the Wholesale team’s daily activities, from managing orders and stock, to preparing sales reports and liaising across departments. This role involves working closely with the Department Manager to develop team strategies and ensure all tasks are completed efficiently and on time. You will also contribute directly to sales by handling orders and promoting key products to our wholesale customers.
This is a full-time, on-site role, based in Bermondsey, London (Monday to Friday, 08:30–17:30). Some flexibility may occasionally be needed to meet business demand, particularly during busy seasonal periods.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Department Manager in prioritising and coordinating the team’s daily activities
- Communicate clearly across departments and proactively resolve issues
- Organise rotas and manage team hours in Fourth
- Take orders from wholesale customers via phone, email, and WhatsApp
- Promote key products and provide expert advice
- Support sales targets and client retention
- Use tools like Power BI and NAV to analyse, track, and report on sales
- Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales reports, flagging trends or quality issues
- Liaise with Production and Logistics teams to manage deliveries and resolve issues
- Monitor and manage stock levels of cheese and fresh goods
- Process returned orders and credit notes promptly
About You
- Strong negotiator with excellent influencing skills, able to build highly effective internal and external relationships
- Numerate and fluent in English, with confident written and verbal communication
- Organised and detail-oriented, able to manage multiple priorities accurately and plan ahead
- Sales-focused and target-driven, passionate about delivering exceptional customer service
- Comfortable communicating confidently by phone, email, and in person
- Proactive, curious, and eager to take on new challenges and learn new systems
- Meticulous administrator with excellent attention to detail
- Comfortable working independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in Excel and Microsoft Office tools including Outlook, Word, and Teams; experience with Power BI, NAV, or similar systems is a plus
- Enthusiastic about food, with a keen interest in artisan cheese and current food trends
What We Offer
- A salary of £32,000+ per annum (depending on experience)
