With a 52,500 sqft purpose-built factory in North Yorkshire, Neaco designs and manufactures bespoke modular systems for construction projects globally. This is a full-time on-site role for a Site Fitter specializing in handrails, balustrades, balconies, and aluminium flooring. The Site Fitter will be responsible for installing modular aluminium products efficiently and safely as part of construction and architectural projects throughout the U.K. Daily tasks include interpreting technical drawings, assembling and installing various bespoke products (e.g., balustrades and balconies) on-site, ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards, and collaborating with project teams to meet deadlines and project specifications.
Responsibilities- Examine and understand detailed drawings or specifications to find out job requirements
- Conduct core drilling in designated areas as and when required
- Installation of our Balustrade, Handrail, Flooring and Balcony units to the agreed company standards
- Dismantle faulty components and rectify any defect parts
- Reporting directly to the management team to ensure planning and implementation of delivery
- Responsible for adhering to health and safety and ensuring risk assessments and method statements are present for all works when required
- Travel required as will be working throughout the UK
- Ensuring that programmes and timescales are adhered to.
- Experience in reading and interpreting technical drawings and plans for construction or manufacturing purposes
- Proficiency in installation techniques, ideally related to handrails, balustrades, balconies, and aluminium flooring systems or other Metalwork systems
- Strong mechanical and engineering aptitude, along with problem-solving skills for on-site challenges
- Knowledge and adherence to health and safety standards in a construction or manufacturing environment
- Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- Prior experience in modular system installations or aluminium product assembly is an advantage
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to various project sites
- CSCS (Construction Skills Certification Scheme) card or similar accreditation is required
- IPAF, PASMA and other similar accreditation is desirable
