We are seeking a reliable Van Driver and Warehouse Operative. This role involves delivering goods efficiently while supporting warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial driving and warehouse tasks, possess excellent communication skills, and be physically capable of heavy lifting. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with a focus on safety and customer satisfaction.
Monday- Friday 7am- 5pm (average) pay rate- £14.01 van driving £12.93- warehouse. This position is combined van driving (main role) with some warehouse duties when required.
Duties- Safely operate company vans to deliver goods to clients across various locations
- Load and unload items, ensuring proper handling and secure transportation
- Assist with warehouse duties such as stock organisation, inventory management, and order picking
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and communicate effectively with team members and clients
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations during driving and warehouse tasks
- Support the warehouse team with heavy lifting and manual handling as required
- Proven delivery driver experience, preferably with commercial vehicles or lorries
- Valid driver licence with a clean driving record
- Strong driving skills with a good understanding of road safety regulations
- Previous warehouse experience is advantageous, including stock management and manual handling
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Excellent communication skills for liaising with clients and team members
- Organised, reliable, and able to work independently or as part of a team
- Physically fit to handle demanding tasks in a fast-paced environment
