We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Strength & Conditioning coach to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing customised training programmes, developing the S&C department of NECC, creating a welcoming atmosphere, and helping our athletes maximise their potential. This role offers an excellent opportunity for somebody to join us on the journey, aligning their growth with the growth of the business. We aim to give athletes in the North East the best chance to succeed in their chosen sport. The position will be working predominantly with children of approximate age 10-16 and has lots of areas for growth from a financial and responsibility standpoint.

Responsibilities

  • Develop personalised training programmes tailored to athlete's individual needs and goals
  • Deliver on pitch speed and power sessions, tailored to the appropriate age group
  • Conduct small group coaching sessions, supporting the online programming of each individual athlete
  • Monitor athlete progress, adjusting programmes as necessary to optimise results, updating parents on the individuals development
  • Engage with our social media and marketing manager to develop and promote the S&C provision
  • Pro-actively grow the strength and conditioning department
  • Implement and monitor a sign up process ensuring clarity with bookings
  • Manage and develop S&C team and internship programme

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in sports science or similar discipline
  • Experience in delivering to children and adults
  • Strong pedagogical understanding, allowing for effective delivery across a wide range of athletes
  • Comfortable with industry testing and monitoring technology
  • Understanding of physical development in male/female young athletes
  • Friendly, approachable manner, partnered with enthusiastic delivery
  • Organised with excellent time management skills to handle multiple athletes efficiently
  • Understanding of safeguarding processes and procedures
  • Possess or be working towards a UKSCA or ASCC accreditation
  • Experience in managing a department or team of coaches
  • Comfortable with social media content creation
  • Experience and qualifications in sports coaching
