A highly regarded aerospace manufacturing business is recruiting for an experienced Level 2 FPI Technician to join its Burnley based facility. Specialising in the manufacture of complex engine components, our client offers the opportunity for an experienced aerospace Level 2 to undertake a busy, hands-on role and work within a small but well-experienced NDT team across three lines within its facility.
The person:
- Level 2 FPI (EN4179) qualified with experience of working with both water washable and post-emulsifiable penetrants in an aerospace manufacturing environment
- Experience of processing aircraft engine components would be useful
- A team player, willingness to share knowledge and collaborate with the team
- An individual focused on wanting to achieve positive results and being part of a positive culture
- Happy to work an alternating shift system of earlies and lates
- Existing training hours / L2 qualification in MPI and / or radiography (film experience would be useful since the company facilitates a small amount of mag work and also operates DR, but an interest in potentially achieving OJT in these methods is a huge plus as there is a very real prospect that this role will develop into a cross-functional position across the NDT department in the future
