Aonic are on the lookout for a passionate and experienced Senior Game Tester to help ensure the quality of our Console, PC, and VR titles. If you are a strong advocate for player experience, an expert bug hunter, a champion of process or some combination of all three, you could be just what we’re looking for!
As a Senior Tester at Aonic, you will be one of the key people responsible for the verification and internal validation of our games’ features, ensuring that they meet agreed expectations and our own set standards. Working closely with our internal departments, as well as our 3rd party developers and external QA teams, you will help us to bring the best experiences to our players around the world.
The rundown:
- 12-month fixed-term contract
- Full time (37.5 hours per week)
- Hybrid role, requiring a 2-day presence in our London office and 3 days working from home
- Salary is competitive and dependent on experience
Key responsibilities:
- Manual testing, including scripted and non-scripted, of our games
- Reporting and managing bugs in a database
- Collating multi-project reports on test coverage, product status and overall project health
- Creating and maintaining test cases/test suites and helping to write test plans
- Coordinating with Production, Developers and external QA teams to maximise efficiency and effectiveness of testing
- Offering qualitative feedback on game features and designs
- Supporting the creation of quality store assets/copy (screenshots, trailer footage capture and proofreading)
- Overseeing milestone reviews, confirming deliverables and build sign-off
Requirements
The skills you’ll need:
- 2-4 years of experience in Quality Assurance or Quality Control in games
- Experience with using and administering Test Case Management tools (e.g. TestRail, QA Touch), Bug Database tools (e.g. Jira, Hansoft) and project management tools (e.g. Jira, Monday.com)
- Testing and test ownership experience on PC and consoles (PlayStation 5, Xbox Series S|X, Nintendo Switch/Switch 2, PSVR, Meta Quest etc.)
- A passion for gaming and an understanding of various genres
The nice to haves:
- Understanding of 1st Party Requirements and Certification Testing
- Experience managing/scripting automated tests, usability testing and/or accessibility assessments
