We are looking for an enthusiastic, proactive, and motivated mid-level Animator to join our team and deliver high quality animations across a range of titles in development, whilst playing a key role in developing and evolving our animation standards and pipelines.
As an Animator, you will be working alongside our experienced Principal Animator, delivering high quality animation for characters, creaturesand world props. The ideal candidate is excited by game animation and keeps up to date with modern pipelines and technologies and seeks opportunities to refine our processes and raise the quality bar with each project.
The rundown:
- 12 month fixed term contract
- Full time (37.5 hours per week)
- Fully remote within the UK
- Salary is competitive and dependent on experience
Key responsibilities:
- Collaborate with designers, artists, and programmers to ensure animations integrate seamlessly into the game.
- Help evolve animation pipelines and techniques.
- Work closely with the Animation team to achieve the artistic vision of the project.
- Deliver high quality animation.
- Stay updated with the latest animation techniques and technologies.
- Implement animations within Unreal Engine.
Requirements
The skills you\’ll need:
- Strong understanding of animation principles and techniques.
- The ability to understand game genres and art styles and create animations that suit those worlds.
- Expert in animation software such as Maya, Blender, or equivalent.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and able to distil information down to the essence of what others need to know.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a remote team environment.
- A collaborative and team-oriented work approach, demonstrated by experience in setting up processes and practices that consider and harness the team\’s strengths.
- Has worked on at least 1 title in an animation role, on any commercial gaming platform and experienced the full development cycle (concept to release).
The nice to haves:
- Experience with VR animation.
- Passion for VR and innovative technologies.
- Experience with Rigging in Unreal 5
