nDreams Studio Elevation is re-establishing the boundaries of VR. We’re looking for an exceptionally talented Senior Concept Artist to help us explore, create, and deliver world-leading innovation in software and VR hardware. With our first title nearing release and a second in early planning stages, it’s a great time to join our fully remote, VR-first studio.
In this role, you will be responsible for producing high-quality 2D conceptual artwork that defines and enhances the visual direction of our games. You’ll play a key role in shaping the aesthetic of our projects, from early ideation through to final key art, while mentoring junior artists and collaborating across disciplines.
The rundown:
- 12-month fixed term contract
- Full time (37.5 hours per week)
- Fully remote within the UK
- Salary is competitive and dependent on experience
Key responsibilities:
- Translate the Art Director’s vision into clear visual concepts, moodboards, and key art that define the game’s tone and style.
- Create high-quality concept art for characters, environments, props, and storyboards across various genres and styles.
- Conduct visual research to ensure authenticity, readability, and alignment with player expectations.
- Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to ensure visual storytelling supports gameplay and narrative goals.
- Develop visual development packages and style guides to support 3D artists and maintain consistency.
- Mentor junior artists, provide constructive feedback, and help grow the concept art function.
- Stay current with industry trends and tools, introducing innovative techniques to enhance the art pipeline.
The skills you’ll need:
- Strong foundational art skills: composition, lighting, anatomy, color theory, and perspective.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and other industry-standard tools.
- Experience with Wacom/Cintiq tablets and familiarity with VR hardware.
- Ability to iterate based on feedback and self-critique.
- Some graphic design knowledge is a plus (layout, typography, etc.).
- Understanding of game engines like Unreal Engine is beneficial.

- Experience mentoring or managing junior artists.
