We are looking to recruit a General Operative to join our Home2Home Response team. You will assist in the delivery of our maintenance programme through the effective and coordinated support of multi-skilled and general operatives in Barnstaple and the surrounding areas. This is a 37 hours per week role.
The main responsibilities of the role are:
- Supporting the Response team in maintaining properties efficiently and effectively.
- Working alongside our team of Multi Skilled Operatives (MSO) in supporting larger work projects or those requiring more than one person.
- Assisting on site with general labouring and delivery duties, including manual handling tasks.
- Loading and unloading all debris/materials as required by the MSO from or to stores, site or place of disposal.
- Assisting in the purchasing of materials or hiring of tools or plant as instructed by the MSO.
About You
You will be looking to work for a supportive company delivering valuable services to the local community. You will have a basic knowledge of the building industry with experience assisting in one or more of the following areas: brickwork/blockwork, paving, plastering/rendering, roofing, carpentry, fencing, decoration. You will have working knowledge of health & safety principles. You will work well in a team environment and be supportive of others. Hold a full drivers licence.
