We are looking to hire a Senior Investment Analyst to join our high-calibre private equity investment team, a principal-based investment platform focused on lower middle market independent sponsor investments, co-investments and continuation vehicles, alongside an emerging manager fund commitment strategy. Given the significant volume of high-quality deal flow we are actively reviewing in the independent sponsor strategy, we are looking to expand capacity and strengthen our execution depth across multiple ongoing investment processes. The Analyst will join a lean, two person independent sponsor focused deal team to support with the evaluation, execution and ongoing monitoring of private markets investments, with a focus on single-asset independent sponsor transactions, co-investments and continuation vehicles. The role will contribute across financial analysis, due diligence, transaction execution and creation of investment materials, while exercising strong commercial judgement within a disciplined, institutional investment framework.

Key responsibilities

  • Investment analysis and deal evaluation: Support the assessment of new investment opportunities across independent sponsors, co-investments and continuation vehicles, including review of business quality, investment strategy, transaction structure, valuation and key risks. Analyse financial performance, historical trends and key value drivers to form clear, well-supported views on investment attractiveness. Review investment theses, downside protections, return scenarios and key sensitivities. Develop a strong understanding of transaction structures, alignment of interest, governance rights, manager quality and exit considerations. Assess the relative attractiveness of opportunities in the context of portfolio construction, risk concentration and strategic fit.
  • Financial modelling and valuation: Build and maintain robust financial models, including three-statement models, to assess company performance, liquidity, capital structure and investment returns. Perform valuation analysis using relevant methodologies, including comparable company analysis, precedent transactions, discounted cash flow analysis and leveraged buyout-style return frameworks where appropriate.
  • Due diligence and execution: Support and, where appropriate, help lead live transaction execution by coordinating due diligence workstreams and managing process timelines. Review diligence materials, data rooms, management presentations, third-party reports and legal documentation to identify key issues and areas for further analysis. Prepare questions for management teams, sponsors, advisers and other counterparties, and distil outputs from diligence calls and meetings into clear investment conclusions. Assist in negotiating and progressing internal approval materials, transaction documentation and closing processes.
  • Investment materials and committee support: Prepare high-quality investment memoranda and presentation materials for internal review and investment committee discussions. Present analysis clearly and concisely, with focus on the key commercial drivers, risks, mitigants and recommendation rationale. Maintain organised, audit-ready records of analysis, diligence findings and investment decisions. Contribute to a disciplined and repeatable decision-making process grounded in clear documentation and strong investment judgement.
  • Portfolio monitoring and asset support: Support ongoing monitoring of existing investments through review of financial performance, portfolio developments, liquidity, value creation progress and realised/unrealised returns. Track portfolio company developments, sponsor activity, refinancing events, continuation outcomes and exit opportunities. Update models, valuations and internal reporting materials as new information becomes available. Assist in monitoring manager performance and broader portfolio exposures across the platform.
  • Market research and relationship support: Conduct market, sector, manager and sponsor research to support origination and investment screening. Build familiarity with the emerging manager landscape, independent sponsor market, co-investment opportunities and GP-led / continuation vehicle structures. Support senior team members in maintaining productive relationships with managers, sponsors, advisers and broader market participants. Contribute to the development of the platform’s network and market intelligence across relevant private markets segments.

  • Professional, well-structured written materials and dependable support to senior investors throughout the investment process.
  • Positive contribution to a collaborative, high-performing and process-oriented team culture.
