We are seeking an experienced Employee Relations Specialist to join the HR team supporting the Filton site of our client, a leading global aerospace company, as well as other locations including Brize Norton, Broughton, and London.

Location: Filton (Hybrid, 60% onsite)

Hours: 35 hrs/week

Duration: 6 months (long-term absence cover)

You will be providing advice and operational support on disciplinary matters, grievances, industrial relations, policy reviews, investigations, and employment law compliance.

Responsibilities:

  • Advise HR Business Partners and managers on employee relations issues: disciplinary, grievances, performance, absence, flexible working.
  • Manage industrial relations topics, engage with employee representatives, and interpret collective agreements.
  • Conduct impartial investigations and recommend resolutions.
  • Identify and coordinate training on employee relations topics.
  • Support HR policy development and reviews to ensure legal compliance and fairness.
  • Collaborate with HR functions to deliver integrated HR solutions.
  • Maintain confidential employee relations records.
  • Support employee engagement and positive workplace culture initiatives.

Experience:

  • Proven experience in employee relations, ideally in a large multinational.
  • Strong knowledge of UK employment law and industrial relations.
  • Excellent communication, influencing, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong investigation and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Discretion in handling sensitive/confidential information.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across HR functions.
