Dounreay is seeking a PPE Services Manager to lead the safe and compliant delivery of facilities, assets, and PPE/RPE services.
The role involves managing teams, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving operational excellence across a range of site activities.
Dounreay is looking for an experienced leader to manage facilities and specialist personal protective equipment (PPE) services, ensuring the safe, effective, and compliant delivery of operations across the site.
You'll lead teams, oversee assets throughout their lifecycle, and work closely with stakeholders to maintain the highest standards of safety, performance, and regulatory compliance.
What will you be doing?
Working with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, you'll oversee facility operations, projects, and personal protective equipment / respiratory protection equipment (PPE/RPE) provision, ensuring programmes are delivered safely, effectively, and in line with approved budgets and governance requirements.
You'll also act as a key point of contact for regulators, auditors, and contractors, driving continuous improvement and promoting relevant good practice across the site.
Key responsibilities include
- Leading and developing teams to deliver facility operations and specialist PPE/RPE services.
- Ensuring suitable training is provided for end users of PPE/RPE.
- Establishing and subsequently maintaining a RPE fit testing service for the site.
- Managing projects and programmes to ensure delivery against approved plans, budgets, and timescales.
- Ensuring compliance with nuclear safety, environmental, security, and regulatory requirements.
- Acting as a key interface with regulators, auditors, contractors, and other stakeholders.

- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate at all levels.
