The Geospatial Solution Engineer (SE) provides technical credibility during the customer acquisition and onboarding processes. The SE role primarily supports commercial team members with technical knowledge and know-how to ensure NCTech scales its new customer acquisition, and importantly, onboarding of new customers. A SE is responsible for all technical aspects of the sales cycle from demonstrations and presentations, and answering technical queries, to generating content and documentation, supporting pilot projects and RFP responses.
With a strong focus on Local Government customers including Assessors, Public Works, GIS and Asset Management, the SE role plays an important part in establishing credibility both during the sales cycle and when onboarding new customers. The successful candidate can expect up to 50% travel.

What You’ll Do
- Conduct technical presentations and customised demonstrations to assist attainment of revenue goals.
- Explain technical concepts to non‑technical buyers to establish a link between NCTech’s technical leadership and customer value.
- Collaborate with the sales team to understand customer requirements and challenges.
- Educate and upskill sales team members on product and industry topics.
- Create and maintain technical content including sales collateral, technical whitepapers, implementation guides, blog articles and FAQs, to support the sales process.
- Project manage new customer onboarding and pilot projects to demonstrate the value of the NCTech solution in the client’s environment.
- Collaborate with the client’s technical teams to address any integration or compatibility concerns.
- Coordinate and contribute to RFP and similar responses in a timely and professional manner.
- Represent the company at industry events and participate in webinars.
- Act as a liaison between the customer and internal teams, ensuring that customer feedback is considered in product development, marketing and improvement processes.
- Establish a deep understanding of the industry, its trends, competitive landscape and NCTech’s technical capabilities.
- Record all relevant information and IP in company systems including but not limited to CRM.
What You’ll Bring
- Experience in addressing Local Government use cases, including Assessment, Public Works, and / or Asset Management.
- A passion for solution engineering and helping customers in a Data as a Service (DaaS) geospatial business.
- Proficiency in using geospatial software and tools to develop and implement solutions, such as Esri ArcGIS, QGIS, Google Earth Engine, or similar proprietary software.
- Expertise in integrations and APIs relevant to NCTech’s customers including GIS and Computer Aided Mass Appraisal (CAMA) systems.
- Knowledge of end‑to‑end geospatial data collection processes, including acquisition, processing, storage, and analysis, ensuring data quality, integrity, and security throughout the lifecycle.
- Proficiency in the use and adoption of artificial intelligence and machine learning.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, and an ability to convey complex technical topics in a clear and easy to understand manner.
- Highly developed interpersonal and organisational skills.
