Due to continued growth, we are looking for an enthusiastic Trainee Multi-Skilled Security & Telecoms Engineer to join our Engineering Team based from our Glasgow office.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career within the technology industry.

Full training will be provided by experienced engineers, giving you exposure to a wide range of technologies and real-world projects.

A company vehicle, laptop and mobile phone will be provided.

A full UK driving licence is essential (up to 3 penalty points considered).

The Role

Working alongside our experienced engineers, you will assist with the installation, maintenance, commissioning and support of a wide range of technology systems including:

  • Structured Cabling (Cat5e, Cat6 & Fibre)
  • Business Telephone Systems & Unified Communications
  • CCTV Systems
  • Door Access Control Systems
  • Intruder Alarm Systems
  • Fire Alarm Systems
  • Audio Visual Systems
  • Business Networking Infrastructure

As your experience grows, you will become involved in customer surveys, system commissioning, troubleshooting and delivering complete technology installations.

  • Typical Duties
  • Assisting engineers with on-site installations
  • Installing and terminating structured cabling
  • Installing CCTV cameras and associated equipment
  • Assisting with access control, intercom and alarm installations
  • Learning to configure IP networks and connected devices
  • Supporting telephone system installations and migrations
  • Assisting with AV installations including displays and audio systems
  • Carrying out planned maintenance and fault finding
  • Attending customer sites throughout Scotland and occasionally further afield
  • Keeping accurate job documentation
  • Maintaining high standards of workmanship and customer service
  • Working safely and following company procedures

About You

We are looking for someone with a genuine interest in technology who wants to build a career within the Security and Telecommunications industry.

  • Ideally you will have some previous experience in one or more of the following:
  • Structured cabling
  • Electrical installation
  • Security systems
  • Networking
  • Telecommunications
  • IT support

This experience does not need to be extensive—we are more interested in finding someone with the right attitude and willingness to learn.
