Overview
Shifts: 45 hours per week across 4 or 5 days, with shifts between 4:20am and 8:00pm (11.25 or 9 hours including paid breaks).
Role
As a Cash in Transit Officer, you\’ll help ensure the safe and secure transport of cash and valuables between locations, supporting service delivery while mitigating business risks. No two shifts are alike. You\’ll switch between driving and courier duties, working solo or alongside a partner to keep operations running smoothly.
Responsibilities
- Working alone or with a partner – either as a driver or a courier, depending on assigned duties.
- Servicing ATM machines by ensuring the secure transportation and deployment of cash.
- Following company processes and completing all associated documentation in line with operational targets.
- Driving and parking company vehicles responsibly, in line with the Highway Code, company policy, and procedures to ensure compliance with Health and Safety.
- Maintaining effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to deliver an efficient service to customers.
- Communicating clearly with colleagues and the branch management team to ensure issues are addressed within a reasonable timeframe and to a satisfactory standard.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Ability to provide a continuous 10-year employment and education history (any gaps must be covered).
- Valid UK driving licence (no more than 6 penalty points).
- CVIT SIA licence is desirable; if not held, it can be obtained through our fully funded training programme.
- Conscientious driving, with full adherence to the Highway Code at all times.
- Ability to follow instructions and work to tight deadlines.
