About the Role: As an Inventory Assistant at the Rotherham Depot, you’ll support the Warehouse & Stores team by handling materials for cash machine installations. Your tasks will include receiving deliveries and picking materials for both in-house and 3rd party installation and electrical teams. You’ll report directly to the Warehouse Supervisor. Ideally, you’ll hold a valid forklift licence and Health & Safety certification - or be willing to complete the necessary training. You’ll be expected to follow best practices to maintain a safe and efficient working environment in the warehouse and stores areas.
Responsibilities:
- Perform tasks involving light to medium lifting; occasional ladder use (up to 3 metres).
- Support warehouse and logistics project tasks.
- Accept, off-load, and book in deliveries of materials associated with ATM installations.
- Receive goods from external vendors and distribute them to internal teams in-line with Goods-In process.
- Retrieve and deliver parts/modules from internal storage to relevant teams.
- Participate in regular stock takes and cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy in Oracle ERP.
- Assist the Repair Centre with pick-pack tasks.
- Ensure safe packing of repaired/tested goods for courier transit.
- Process daily parts returns, end-to-end including admin and loading onto 3rd party transport.
- Prepare materials for in-house and 3rd party site teams.
- Load and unload company and 3rd party vehicles.
- Pick building/electrical materials in line with lists provided for ATM Installation sites throughout the UK.
- Issue construction consumables and PPE etc., at the Stores Hatch.
- Maintain cleanliness, safety, and organisation in the warehouse, stores, and yard.
- Segregate and dispose of waste correctly (cardboard, plastic, metal, WEEE, etc.).
- Participate in weekly audits of warehouse, stores, and yard areas.
- Report Near Misses.
- Support general maintenance and cleaning duties as required.
Key Requirements:
- Working knowledge of H&S best practices; CSCS card (or equivalent).
- Previous experience in a fast-paced stores or warehouse environment.
- Reach and/or Counterbalance Forklift Licence and Hydraulic Pallet truck experience (training available if needed).
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Experience with Oracle ERP is desirable.
- Excellent numerical and written communication skills.
- Proactive and self-motivated approach, with the ability to solve problems independently.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction across teams.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Organised work style, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines under pressure.
