Overview The European Controllership Team is responsible for the accounting and finance activities for many entities across Europe, supporting the Operational and Commercial businesses as well as compliance with local requirements. This role has a key focus on supporting the German entity 'Cardpoint GmbH' which currently operates on a standalone German specific ERP, Datev. But it will also involve supporting UK, Spanish, Irish, Portuguese and Greek businesses that fall within the 'Cardtronics' sub‑division of NCR Atleos.
Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:
- Monthly balance sheet preparation and review
- Journal entry formulation and posting in Datev and Oracle Cloud
- Cardpoint systems administration (Datev and Online Banking)
- Corporate reporting preparation and review and coordination
- Planning and coordination of Cardpoint local statutory accounts cycle (HGB)
- Completing audit queries/requests
- Coordination with Cardpoint tax advisors (EY)
- Monitoring and support on Fixed Assets process, transactions and reconciliations
- Supporting business functions with data and analytics
- Management and review of Cardpoint tax returns
- Reviewing process flows to enhance efficiency
- Stock count management and attendance (Augsburg, DE)
- Monthly report pack preparation and presentation for German entity
Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and personal attributes required:
- Languages; fluent in both English and German
- Experience of working in finance/administration with experience of financial processes for German companies such as audit, financial statement preparation and tax filings
- IT literate and high level of Excel capability including pivots, validation, sumif, vlookup, conditional formatting
- Good numeric and literacy skills
- A keen eye for detail due to the data intensive business environment
- ERP Systems experience (Datev preferred and Oracle Cloud beneficial)
