Customer Engineer – United Kingdom, Virtual role at NCR Atleos
Location: United Kingdom, Virtual
Position Summary & Key Areas Of Responsibility
- To diagnose faults, make repairs and to replace modules on ATMs, EPOS, Self-Checkouts, PCs, kiosks, and associated peripherals.
- Responsible for installation, maintenance, and repairs on equipment within an assigned territory/region to ensure continuity of customer operations and a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Responsible for ownership of customer problems or incidents until the situation has been resolved to the customer’s satisfaction and/or in compliance with agreed upon Service Level Agreements.
- May require prolonged travel, carrying and lifting tool kit/parts of varying weights. May require bending/squatting, walking/standing/sitting for prolonged periods.
- Company vehicle with fuel card provided which can be used for personal use (BIK and usage fee per mile applies).
- Tools/laptop/Android phone and all other required tools are provided.
- Uniform and PPE provided.
Basic Qualifications
- A full UK manual driving licence is mandatory.
- Experience is preferred in break/fix, IT, computer/mechanical repair and basic computer hardware and software knowledge, but full training will be provided to the right candidate.
- Experience preferred with Windows operating systems.
- Experience preferred in general PC hardware and software maintenance.
- Works well with minimal supervision, good problem-solving skills, ability to pick up new skills quickly with the ability to work under pressure.
- High level of mechanical/electrical aptitude.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and customer-facing relationship skills are required.
- Flexibility with working shifts; early and late shifts including some weekends and rotating shifts.
