Based in Dundee, Scotland, the Graduate Project Manager within the Currency Template team provides project coordination and guidance related to the development of bespoke automated banknote identification software, driving the template development process end to end.
The successful candidate works with local country contacts to guide requirements gathering and testing of bespoke country templates, liaises with NCR Atleos developers or third parties to ensure those requirements are achieved, and proactively identifies opportunities for issue avoidance and service enhancements while fully understanding current and future bank note plans and requirements specific to each country. Full training is provided to ensure full understanding of currency handling regulations, hardware and software capabilities of each cash deposit and recycler device, and the systems used to track these projects.
Responsibilities
- Project Planning and Management – guide and coordinate projects, confirm requirements, resource, schedule, hardware, and performance, and work with internal/external developers to ensure successful delivery of bespoke software.
- Technical Guidance & Support – understand the software and hardware applicable for note handling and provide template issue categorisation.
- High‑level Communication – adapt technical information for the relevant audience and serve as the central point of communication between all relevant teams.
- Project Coordination – manage multiple projects of varying complexity and stages, focusing on meeting customer requirements.
Essential Skills – excellent written and spoken English; ability to explain technical information to non‑native English speakers; handle urgent incidents; review and understand technical data (e.g., log analysis); perform technical testing; self‑starting; willingness to travel occasionally; capable of working in a team and independently; meet tight deadlines; manage multiple incidents/requests simultaneously; willingness to learn.
