Salary and Bonus

£35,766.10 per annum, with a £1,000 joining bonus for candidates holding a valid CVIT SIA licence.

Shifts

45 hours per week across 4 days (11.25 hours including paid breaks). Shift times range from 4:20am to 8:00pm, with weekend work on a rota basis.

About the Role

As a Cash in Transit Officer you will help ensure the safe and secure transport of cash between locations, supporting service delivery while mitigating business risks. You will alternate between driving and courier duties, working alone or alongside a partner to keep operations running smoothly.

Main Responsibilities

  • Work alone or with a partner as a driver or courier, depending on the assigned duties.
  • Service ATM machines by ensuring the secure transportation and deployment of cash.
  • Follow company processes and complete all associated documentation in line with operational targets.
  • Drive and park company vehicles responsibly, in line with the Highway Code, company policy and procedures to ensure compliance with Health and Safety.
  • Maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to deliver an efficient service to customers.
  • Communicate clearly with colleagues and the branch management team to ensure any issues or concerns are addressed within a reasonable timeframe and to a satisfactory standard.

Key Requirements

  • Provide a continuous 10‑year employment and education history (any gaps in employment history must be covered).
  • Valid full UK driving licence (no more than 6 penalty points).
  • Valid CVIT SIA licence is desirable. If already held, a £1,000 bonus will be awarded after completing the probationary period. If not held, it can be obtained through our fully funded training programme.
  • Conscientious driving, with full adherence to the Highway Code at all times.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work to tight deadlines.
  • All successful candidates will need to provide a 10‑year traceable work and education history, complete a criminal record and credit background check.
