Ncounter are supporting a specialist engineering organisation delivering advanced software systems within the UK national security sector. As part of continued growth, they are looking to hire several Senior C++ Engineers to help build high-performance systems that support mission-critical decision making.
This is a genuine software engineering opportunity, focused on modern C++, Linux, and ultra-low latency systems where performance, reliability, and efficiency matter. The software developed here processes significant volumes of information in highly secure environments, helping users make rapid and informed decisions.
Candidates must either already hold eDV clearance or possess active DV clearance with the ability to progress through eDV sponsorship. The role requires a commitment to working onsite in the West of England four to five days per week.
The organisation is seeking engineers who enjoy solving difficult technical problems and who take ownership of the software they build. This is an environment that values curiosity, continuous learning, and strong engineering fundamentals.
You may have experience across several of the following:
