Solution Architect, DV Cleared
£750-850 per day
Corsham | 12-month contract | 4-5 days onsite
Ncounter is seeking a DV Cleared Solution Architect with deep expertise in VMware, enterprise networking and secure infrastructure design across Defence.
You'll own solution architecture from HLD through to implementation, covering virtualisation, LAN/WAN, routing, network security and systems integration. Working closely with engineering teams, you'll translate complex technical requirements into robust, secure and deliverable infrastructure solutions.
Key responsibilities:
• Own and develop solution architecture across complex infrastructure environments
• Produce high and low-level designs, technical roadmaps and supporting architecture documentation
• Design solutions incorporating VMware virtualisation and enterprise networking
• Translate technical and operational requirements into practical solution designs
• Work closely with infrastructure, network, security and engineering specialists throughout delivery
• Support architecture governance, technical assurance and design approval
• Identify technical risks, dependencies and integration challenges across existing and new services
• Engage confidently with technical teams, programme stakeholders and third-party suppliers
What we’re looking for:
• Current and active MOD DV clearance is essential
• Strong Solution Architecture experience within Defence or similarly secure environments
• Deep VMware knowledge, including enterprise virtualisation environments
• Strong networking architecture experience across LAN/WAN and associated network services
• Broad infrastructure knowledge across Windows, virtualisation, networking, security and integration
• Experience producing HLDs and LLDs and supporting solutions through implementation
• Ability to balance architecture principles with the realities of hands-on technical delivery
