The Opportunity

As our Pre-Sales Engagement Manager, you project-manage our most strategic and complex deals across EMEA through the full Sales and Pre-sales lifecycle, from qualification through demo, proof of concept and bid, to handover. You make sure everyone in the deal shares a clear view of scope, requirements, business value and risk.

This is a senior individual contributor role for a recognised RFI, RFP and due diligence expert passionate about banking and technology. You work closely with our Regional Vice Presidents, Solution Sales, Professional Services, Partners and Pre-sales leadership, advising on bid strategy, positioning and risk. You also set the standards our proposal function works to and find new and better ways to win. The role is based in London, hybrid with three days a week in the office.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead the full bid lifecycle for our most strategic RFI, RFP and due diligence requests, balancing multiple concurrent bids.
  • Define and apply handover standards so Sales, Professional Services and Partners understand scope, assumptions, technical requirements, business value, KPIs and risk.
  • Lead prospect engagement through discovery, clarifications, orals and Q&A, and facilitate requirements workshops.
  • Advise leadership on bid/no-bid decisions, win themes, competitive positioning and response strategy.
  • Partner with Professional Services and Solution Sales on scoping, turning discovery into Statement of Work inputs.
  • Coordinate joint bids with Systems Integrator and Technology Partners on multi-party deals.
  • Own the governance of our content database, proposal policies, templates and quality standards.
  • Resolve complex contractual, compliance and regulatory requirements with Legal, Security, Product and Professional Services.
  • Mentor proposal specialists, and lead process, tooling and automation improvements informed by win/loss analysis.
  • Use AI to automate routine work and sharpen decisions.

Ideally You’ll Have

  • An undergraduate degree and 8+ years of relevant professional experience.
  • Proposal management experience in financial services or software on complex, multi-stakeholder bids.
  • A record of leading strategic, high-value RFP, RFI and due diligence responses end to end, and influencing outcomes.
  • Recognition as a subject matter expert who turns complex information into clear guidance for senior stakeholders.
  • Strong project management across multiple concurrent deadlines.
  • Credible, persuasive communication with prospects and executives, including when the stakes are high.
  • Exceptional writing, editing and proofreading skills.
  • The ability to influence Sales, Legal and Product leaders without direct authority.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving, with a track record of embedding process improvements.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office and RFP content management platforms.

Nice to have:

  • PMP or APMP certification.
  • Experience negotiating contractual positions within bids.
  • EMEA public-sector or regulated-industry procurement experience.
  • Win theme, messaging and visual concept development.
  • Experience scaling content reuse with AI-assisted tools.

In Return We’re Offering

  • Company pension — 6% employer contribution.
  • 25 days’ paid holiday plus volunteer days.
  • Private medical insurance.
  • Life insurance and group income protection.
  • Cycle to work and gym membership salary sacrifice schemes.
  • Perkbox — discounts, free coffee, and more.
  • Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
  • Employee Assistance Programme.

You’ll have real room to grow. Great bids draw on different perspectives, so we’re building a team where everyone belongs. If you don’t tick every box, we’d still love to hear from you.
