This Unified Endpoint Engineer post sits in the Endpoint Provisioning team within the Information and Data Services Infrastructure and Services team at NCG. It centres on deploying, managing and fixing Windows, macOS, iOS and iPadOS devices so colleagues and learners get stable, secure services. The post also gives specialist input to projects and helps move deployment from legacy systems to cloud-based management platforms. Work is mainly on site, with occasional remote working and travel to other NCG college sites.
What the job involves
- Deploy, manage, maintain and resolve technical issues across Windows, macOS, iOS and iPadOS devices
- Administer and support NCG's endpoint computing environment
- Plan and organise deployments
- Provide specialist input to projects
- Help move from legacy deployment systems to modern cloud-based management platforms
- Plan and prioritise own workload
- Make routine technical decisions within agreed standards and escal… ???
- Work on site at Newcastle for the main part of the week, with occasional remote working by agreement
- Work at other NCG college sites around the country when required
