We are seeking a motivated and learner-focused Lecturer to join our college team. You will teach across a range of programmes - delivering knowledge, building skills, and creating inclusive learning experiences. This is a meaningful opportunity to make a lasting impact.

What we’re looking for:
- A relevant subject qualification (e.g. degree or equivalent).
- A recognised teaching qualification.
- Level 2 English and Maths (e.g. GCSE grade C/4 or equivalent).
- The ability to plan and deliver effective, inclusive teaching for diverse learners.
- Knowledge of subject-specific pedagogy and current teaching practices in further or higher education.
- Clear communication and strong organisational skills.
- Confidence using digital tools to support learning.
- A commitment to safeguarding, equality, and ongoing professional development.
The main responsibilities of this role include the delivery and assessment of high-quality learning programmes in Sport and Public Services across a range of level 1 to level 3 of further education. Experience of teaching public services would be desirable, along with knowledge of higher education provision, as well as undertaking a range of programme leadership, tutorial and programme administration duties.
This post requires a strong background in Sport & Public Services and the candidate must have a proven track record of professional/vocational expertise in the Sport sector. The candidate must be qualified to honours degree level (Level 6) or qualified to the industry-recognised standard in a relevant field, hold a post-16 teaching qualification and English and maths qualifications at level 2, or be willing to achieve these within an agreed timeframe. It is desirable that the candidate has experience of effective programme leadership in FE and has a proven track record of successful teaching and assessment practice. Experience of internal quality assurance and working with awarding bodies BTEC and NCFE is a requirement for the role.
An ability to self-manage workload, meet deadlines alongside strong oral and written communication skills and good IT skills are also essential. The hours of work will be flexible and may include evening and weekends according to demand.
