We're seeking a motivated and learner-focused Lecturer to join our college team. You'll teach across a range of programmes - delivering knowledge, building skills, and creating inclusive learning experiences. This is a meaningful opportunity to make a lasting impact.

What you’ll do:

  • Plan and deliver learning
  • Design and deliver inclusive, high quality lessons
  • Create engaging learning materials tailored to diverse learner needs
  • Provide clear, constructive feedback to support learner progress
  • Support learner development
  • Guide academic and personal development through tutorials and pastoral care
  • Maintain accurate records of learner progress and engagement
  • Enhance curriculum and quality
  • Keep course content current and aligned with industry standards
  • Contribute to curriculum development and quality assurance processes
  • Collaborate and uphold standards
  • Work with colleagues and external partners to enrich the learner experience
  • Promote and uphold safeguarding, equality, and health and safety policies

What we’re looking for:

  • A relevant subject qualification (e.g. degree in Media, Games Design, Animation, Digital Media or a related discipline)
  • A recognised teaching qualification
  • Level 2 English and Maths (e.g. GCSE grade C/4 or equivalent)
  • The ability to plan and deliver effective, inclusive teaching for diverse learners
  • Knowledge of subject-specific pedagogy and current teaching practices in further or higher education
  • Clear communication and strong organisational skills
  • Confidence using digital tools to support learning
  • A commitment to safeguarding, equality, and ongoing professional development

Subject-Specific:

  • This post requires a strong background in the teaching of UAL and/or BTEC specifications (level 1 - 3) to 16-19-year-olds
  • Specialist experience delivering lessons on Level 2/3 Media Production with a focus on games design, 2D/3D animation, motion graphics and digital editing
  • Experience teaching industry standard software such as Adobe Creative Suite, Blender, Unity, Unreal Engine or equivalent
  • Experience with VR/AR, VFX, or interactive media are desirable
  • Successful applicant will be able to demonstrate strong professional links with employers in the Media industries and should have the ability and motivation to develop links between employers and course delivery
