ROLE DESCRIPTION
Do you want to make a difference?
Newcastle College is seeking two enthusiastic and dedicated Learning Mentor\’s to join a passionate team who are dedicated to supporting students in overcoming barriers to learning. As a Learning Mentor, you will play a pivotal role in helping learners who face social, emotional, or environmental challenges that impact their educational progress.
You will work closely with learners, internal colleagues, parents/carers, and external providers to identify learners who require assistance. Your goal is to provide personalised support, motivation, and guidance to help students achieve their full potential. Whether working one-on-one or in small groups, your impact will be instrumental in creating an inclusive and empowering learning environment.
As the successful candidate, you will be an enthusiastic and adaptable person, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a commitment to inclusive education. You will have Level 2 English & Maths or equivalent and be able to work flexibly, including evening work, and supporting at our off-site provision.
