Learner Engagement Consultant

ROLE DESCRIPTION

The aim of the role is to recruit, select and match candidates for local apprenticeship opportunities, the Learner Engagement Consultant will be expected to source suitable candidates using a variety of different recruitment methods, they\’ll conduct 121 interviews and be expected to speak directly with employers to process new vacancy requests, introduce applicants, organise interviews and process new Apprenticeship starts.

The Learner Engagement Consultant will engage with a diverse client base, they\’ll have strong communication and interpersonal skills. They will be the initial point of contact for our employer partners and future apprentices and as such will need to build strong working relationships with employer contacts at all levels. They take responsibility for a portfolio of new apprenticeship vacancies, sourcing, assessing and selecting suitable candidates using a variety of methods to place apprentice candidates into sustainable employment.

The post holder will have experience of working in a fast paced target driven environment. The candidate must have exceptional communication skills and be confident in presenting to large audiences such as Newcastle College students, they\’ll have excellent time management skills and be confident in prioritising.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage Recruitment Initial Assessments
  2. Source and book one to one candidate interview
  3. Coordinate the recruitment process for pre-assigned apprenticeship vacancies
  4. Actively identify opportunities to grow learner recruitment services
  5. Identify and attend events aimed at young people or those within priority target groups
  6. Follow up on enquiries in a timely fashion
  7. Develop effective working relationships within key 3rd party learner providers
  8. Develop effective working relationships with internal stakeholders
  9. Work effectively with the customer facing Business Consultants to meet employer requirements
  10. Liaise with Newcastle College marketing department on relevant promotional materials
  11. Identify and develop opportunities for learner recruitment within hard to reach target groups
  12. Assist in the production of presentation materials used by the Business Consultant team
  13. Other duties that may be reasonably assigned by the line manager
  14. Ensure compliance of all administrative processes and system used throughout the apprenticeship recruitment process
  15. Accountable for personal KPI\’s and objectives
