ROLE DESCRIPTION
Are you passionate about education, eager to engage with employers and learners, and ready to kick-start your career in business development? Newcastle College is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Business Development Apprentice to join our dynamic team!
About the Role
As a Business Development Apprentice, you\’ll play a key role in supporting our Business Development team to promote and grow our apprenticeship offer. You\’ll engage with employers and learners, help organise recruitment campaigns and events, and assist with the full front-end apprenticeship process—from initial contact to enrolment.
This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in employer engagement, marketing, and recruitment while contributing to the success of our apprenticeship programmes. You will be enrolling onto a level 3 business administrator apprenticeship online alongside your full-time role.
Key Responsibilities
- Promote apprenticeship opportunities to employers and learners.
- Support the organisation of assessment centres, interviews, and recruitment campaigns.
- Assist with employer engagement and DAS (Digital Apprenticeship Service) entry.
- Help maintain accurate records in our CRM system.
- Attend IAG (Information, Advice & Guidance) events and support marketing efforts.
- Organise meetings for Business Development Consultants.
- Champion employer needs internally to ensure high-quality provision.
What we\’re looking for
Essential:
- GCSE Grade 4 or above in Maths and English.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to organise events and speak confidently to groups.
- Basic understanding of CRM systems and social media platforms.
- Willingness to work flexibly and attend events outside standard hours.
- A full driving licence and access to a vehicle with business insurance.
Desirable:
- Experience in recruitment, training, or education.
- Knowledge of apprenticeship reforms and government policy in education.
