Do you want to make a difference every day? Newcastle College is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Specialist Support Practitioner, who is trained to a minimum Level 2 in BSL, to join a passionate team that supports the achievements of students with a sensory impaired disorder, including d/Deaf and vision impairment.
In this vital role, you'll be at the heart of student success and will:
- Deliver high quality one-to-one or small group support to students
- Support inclusive learning
- Help students access campus and curriculum
- Support awareness raising and understanding of access and inclusion
What We're Looking For
- A warm, adaptable, and enthusiastic individual.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A commitment to inclusive education and student wellbeing.
- It is essential to have a Level 2 British Sign Language (BSL) qualification and a willingness to work toward Level 3.
- Level 2 English & Maths (or equivalent).
