Role Description
Newcastle College is seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic, and qualified professional to take on the role of Apprenticeship Standards Manager.
The successful candidate will report to the Director of Faculty to support management of apprenticeships and ensure performance aligns with Newcastle College and NCG key performance indicators.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Further Education, apprenticeship delivery, and knowledge of compliance and business development within an apprenticeship setting.
Proven experience in leading and managing teams is essential. The candidate should be qualified to degree level or equivalent in a related subject area, or hold a post-16 teaching qualification, or be committed to achieving this within an agreed timeframe. Level 2 English and maths qualifications are mandatory, or the willingness to attain them. A track record of leading teams to achieve KPIs with a focus on high-quality education is required.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders both within and outside the college are important. Strong organisational skills, self-management, and proficiency in IT, including virtual learning environments, are essential. Flexibility to work evenings and weekends to meet curriculum demands is also required.
