Kidderminster College is looking for a Skills and Progression Engagement Officer to join our ambitious team—someone who can engage learners, connect with employers and champion progression into work, apprenticeships and further learning. This is a dynamic, outward‑facing role at the heart of our employability and adult skills provision. You’ll play a key part in attracting learners, building partnerships and ensuring high‑quality programme delivery, working closely with local employers, partners and internal teams to create opportunities that reflect the needs of our community. This is more than coordination—it’s about engagement, influence and impact.

What You’ll Do

  • Drive learner recruitment and engagement
  • Promote programmes, generate interest and support enrolment activity across the local area
  • Build strong employer and partner relationships
  • Act as a key contact for employers, training providers and local stakeholders to create meaningful progression routes
  • Coordinate high‑quality programmes
  • Ensure smooth delivery, excellent learner experience and strong outcomes
  • Deliver employability support
  • Help learners develop confidence and readiness through CV workshops, interview preparation and job‑search skills
  • Track success and progression
  • Monitor outcomes and support learners into employment, further study or apprenticeships
  • Maintain quality and compliance, ensuring accurate data, funding compliance and a strong audit trail
