Join Our Team at Newcastle College's Construction Academy. Are you passionate about developing students' skills and talents to succeed in education, training, or employment? Can you lead a team of construction professionals and exemplify college values? We seek someone to support the Head of Curriculum in improving our programs and delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Head of Curriculum in managing the section to meet college performance indicators.
- Manage direct reports to ensure high performance in the curriculum area.
- Assist in delivering a high standard of learner experience.
- Implement industry standards, college requirements, quality, and health and safety protocols.
- Prepare and deliver high-quality learning and assessment activities to promote learner progress.
Requirements:
- Minimum Level 3 vocational qualification in Bricklaying, Carpentry & Joinery, Drylining/Plastering, or Roofing.
- Knowledge of construction industry practices and health and safety regulations.
- Post-16 teaching qualification and ability to teach to a grade 2 (good) standard or higher.
- Level 2 qualification in English and Maths or willingness to achieve within a timeframe.
- Experience in curriculum design, planning, delivery, and assessment.
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
- Effective IT skills for reporting and monitoring.
- Excellent organization and workload management skills.
