Join Our Team at Newcastle College's Construction Academy. Are you passionate about developing students' skills and talents to succeed in education, training, or employment? Can you lead a team of construction professionals and exemplify college values? We seek someone to support the Head of Curriculum in improving our programs and delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Head of Curriculum in managing the section to meet college performance indicators.
  • Manage direct reports to ensure high performance in the curriculum area.
  • Assist in delivering a high standard of learner experience.
  • Implement industry standards, college requirements, quality, and health and safety protocols.
  • Prepare and deliver high-quality learning and assessment activities to promote learner progress.

Requirements:

  • Minimum Level 3 vocational qualification in Bricklaying, Carpentry & Joinery, Drylining/Plastering, or Roofing.
  • Knowledge of construction industry practices and health and safety regulations.
  • Post-16 teaching qualification and ability to teach to a grade 2 (good) standard or higher.
  • Level 2 qualification in English and Maths or willingness to achieve within a timeframe.
  • Experience in curriculum design, planning, delivery, and assessment.
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Effective IT skills for reporting and monitoring.
  • Excellent organization and workload management skills.
