Are you an experienced quality leader with a passion for inclusive education and learner success? Lewisham College is seeking a strategic and driven Head of Quality to lead our quality assurance and improvement agenda, ensuring outstanding outcomes for all our learners.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and implementation of the College's Quality Strategy, aligned with Ofsted's Education Inspection Framework (EIF).
- Manage and oversee the annual self‑assessment process, quality improvement plans (QIPs), and curriculum performance reviews.
- Support curriculum teams to deliver high‑quality teaching, learning, and assessment across all provision types, including 16‑19, adult, apprenticeships, English, Maths and SEND.
- Monitor and analyse performance data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Lead on Ofsted readiness and external quality assurance visits, ensuring compliance and continuous improvement.
- Promote a culture of high expectations, equity, and learner‑centred practice.
- Promote NCG values and behaviours.
Qualifications
- Substantial experience in a senior quality role within Further Education or a similar large, complex, diverse organization.
- Strong understanding of Ofsted EIF, SAR/QIP processes, and FE regulatory frameworks.
- Proven ability to lead and influence cross‑college quality improvement initiatives.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and coaching skills.
- A commitment to safeguarding, equality, diversity, and inclusion.
