ROLE DESCRIPTION
The successful candidate will coordinate the effective operation of the 3D workshop in the Mandela Building for creative students. They will lead the maintenance of facilities, ensuring compliance with health and safety requirements, and supervise learners working in the workshop. The technician will demonstrate and ensure the safe use of specialist equipment such as laser cutters, engravers, CNC routers, and woodworking machinery (including table saws, chop saws, lathes, planers, and pillar drills).
The 3D specialist technician will also coordinate the preparation and replenishment of resources used within the workshop and lead the implementation and adherence to industry standards within the department. CAD skills are preferable.
Candidate must be available to work the following hours:
Thursday and Friday 8:30 am – 5:00 pm
Interviews will be held on Thursday, 7th August 2025.
