About the Role

We’re excited to be looking for a Quality Assurance Officer to join our Assessment Delivery team. The Assessment Delivery team ensures external assessments are delivered in line with our policies and reliable results are issued to our learners upholding high standards of compliance with regulatory requirements. You’ll support centres to deliver external assessment activity effectively and resolve any centre queries and issues in relation to assessment delivery. These actions ensure that learners taking external assessments are not disadvantaged or inappropriately advantaged by any assessment processes and that the integrity of external assessments is maintained.

How You’ll Make An Impact

  • Supporting the Quality Assurance Department to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, manage and minimise risk, escalating potential breaches and adverse effects notification in a timely manner, and identify potential improvements and efficiency opportunities.
  • Providing learner outcomes within Service Level Agreements.
  • Training and supporting flexible workers throughout assessment and/or post result windows.
  • Accountable for resolving queries/complaints, providing recommendations to address any identified issues or improve processes, and providing root cause analysis on centre issues when required.
  • Responsible for supporting the wider QA strategy by collaborating with the wider team and providing input to reviews, projects, continuous improvement and developing, implementing, and maintaining QA policies, regulations, and procedures.

Required Experience and Skills

  • Knowledge or experience of working in a regulated environment.
  • Experience of project management.
  • Experience working within a regulated environment, especially if this was within the education industry.
  • Ability to communicate with stakeholders at various levels, as well as customers.
  • Experience of working in or knowledge of Education and Qualification regulation (Ofqual conditions) would be beneficial.
  • Strong planning and organising skills.
  • Competent in presenting findings (report writing, group discussions).
