Overview

We’re excited to be looking for Examiners to join our Assessment Delivery team on a flexible worker contract for the following qualification: T Level Technical Qualification in Education and Early Years. As an Examiner, you\’ll be expected to mark external assessments as required and submit results throughout the autumn 25 and summer 26 marking windows.

Responsibilities

  • Following and maintaining the standard set by the Chief Examiner, applying the mark scheme consistently and accurately.
  • Reporting suspected malpractice or safeguarding concerns to the Assessment Delivery team.
  • Attending examiner standardisation and other meetings as required – standardisation events will be run remotely and scheduled for weekdays between 9.00am–5.00pm prior to the start of the marking window.
  • Maintaining the confidentiality of NCFE assessment materials, learner evidence and learner details, and reporting any breaches to the Assessment Delivery team.

Qualifications

  • A professional qualification (at Level 4 or above) relating to the education and early years sector.
  • Current/recent teaching experience at Level 3 or higher in an education or early years related subject.
  • An understanding of effective quality assurance mechanisms.
  • The ability to work consistently within tight deadlines.

  • Discovery session: You\’ll join a group discussion led by one of our Chief Examiners. This is a collaborative space where you\’ll discuss your initial markings and gain valuable insights.
  • Practical Task: After the group discussion, you\’ll apply what you\’ve learned by marking an additional 2–3 student responses. This hands-on experience will help you understand our standards and expectations.
