This is a hybrid working role, so you’ll need to be able to work from our Head Office 1-2 times per week. This role will also have occasional travel to events across the UK when required

About The Role
We’re excited to be looking for a Communications and Events Officer to join our PR, Comms and Events team.
Our PR, Comms and Events team is part of our wider Brand, Comms and Partnerships directorate and aims to position NCFE as a leading awarding organisation, educational charity and thought leader.
In this role, you\’ll support the PR, Comms and Events team in promoting our products, service information and views through tailored communications, newsletters, exhibitions and events, websites, social media and more. You\’ll help tell our exciting story and ensure it resonates with our key audiences, turning complex information into compelling narratives. You\’ll also support the delivery of a high‑profile communications programme, creating engaging content across all channels to support our customers and delivering events to reach our stakeholder base, including both customers and colleagues.
How You’ll Make An Impact
- Develop and execute external communications that align with brand objectives and tone of voice in order to build awareness, keep our customers informed, strengthen our reputation, and ensure consistency across all channels.
- Create and manage engaging content for customers and stakeholders, including newsletters, case studies, blogs, web content, FAQs, and social media to translate complex information into clear, digestible messages.
- Lead the coordination and delivery of newsletters across the different strands of the business to provide timely, relevant, and high‑quality information to stakeholders.
- Plan and deliver high‑quality events, and coordinate our sponsorship and exhibition spaces, from concept through to evaluation to provide opportunities to connect with customers, engage stakeholders, position us as a thought leader in the sector, and enhance NCFE’s visibility and impact.
- Measure, evaluate and continuously improve communications and events activity in order to demonstrate impact, inform decision‑making, and drive ongoing effectiveness.
We’d love to hear from you if you offer the following
- Degree level qualification in a marketing, communications or English related subject and/or Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) qualification, CIPR or similar.
- Prior experience in a comparable communications and events delivery role.
- Excellent organisational and time‑management skills/ability to work to tight deadlines.
- Exceptional copywriting, editing and proofreading skills, including exceptional grammar and spelling.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to tailor content for different audiences and translate complex information into clear, engaging messages.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and cross functional collaboration skills, enabling effective teamwork and influence across all levels of the organisation.
