We’re seeking an experienced Chief Moderator to oversee the moderation of the following qualification on a flexible worker contract.

- Qualification: T Level Technical Qualification in Science (Level 3) - Laboratory Science pathway
The purpose of moderation is to check that centres are correctly and consistently assessing student work and that the materials submitted for moderation meet the required standard. As Chief Moderator, you'll be expected to make a judgement on the accuracy and validity of the provider and moderators' assessment decisions by continuously analysing data and evidence which forms part of the quality process in order to ensure qualification and regulatory compliance.
How You'll Make An Impact
- Recruiting, training and performance managing a team of Moderators across the relevant sector area
- Ensuring that quality assurance and moderation is delivered in line with qualification and customer requirements
- Ensuring the moderation team maintain compliance with all regulatory conditions relating to moderation of centre assessments
- Coordinating the day-to-day activities of the moderation team throughout the moderation window

- A minimum of a level 3 qualification in the subject area
- Evidence of at least 3 years working within the sector
- Qualifications in assessment and internal quality assurance
- Knowledge and management of moderation processes
- Experience managing a team of moderators
- Excellent report writing skills
