A multiskilled Engineering apprenticeship in our customer sites providing Engineering support and maintenance. A global engineering business with opportunities in all engineering areas to build a career over the short or long term. This is then reviewed annually on start date anniversary and based on performance and attitude.
Training course: Engineering technician (level 3)
Hours: Monday - Friday, initially with introduction of shift patterns to include 24-7 cover depending on site requirements. 39 hours a week.
Duration: 3 years
Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.
What you’ll do at work: Our customer sites requirements are varied and complex. We have a strong maintenance routine to follow and must react to issues and breakdowns swiftly and effectively. On-going learning and development play an important role in this apprenticeship and moving forward once qualified.
Where you’ll work: Erith Tesco Customer Fulfilment Centre, Church Manorway, Belvedere, Erith, DA8 1DE
Training: Apprenticeships include time away from working for specialist training. You’ll study to gain professional knowledge and skills. Engineering Technician Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard: The training will take place at the New City College Rainham campus, New Rd, Rainham RM13 8GP. You will attend the New City College Rainham campus one day of the week and will work with Dematic four days of the week.
Requirements: GCSE in English Language (grade 4 and above or equivalent), Maths (grade 4 and above or equivalent). Let the company know about other relevant qualifications and industry experience you have. They can adjust the apprenticeship to reflect what you already know.
