We are seeking a Business Admin/Estimator apprentice to support our Estimating and Commercial team, where we will provide all the necessary training and support. We are a specialist pipework contractor and undertake projects across a range of sectors, including Commercial Developments, Healthcare, Education, Transport and Residential.

Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm. One hour lunch break. 40 hours a week.

Start date: Monday 7 September 2026

Duration: 1 year 6 months

What you'll do at work:

  • Liaise with the preconstruction manager, commercial and operations team to assist in taking a project from tender stage to contract.
  • Log tenders and ensure that specification and programme information is noted.
  • Ensure all the latest relevant documentation including drawings, specifications and scope is downloaded from client web portals, saved to the project folder electronically and printed relevant documents as required.
  • Create drawing registers specifically for the project.
  • Produce working folders for estimators and ensure the filing system is up to date.
  • Develop an understanding of the different pipework systems within the process and construction industry.
  • Assist estimators with take-off and measures from drawings using estimating software.
  • Assist with updating and maintaining the company’s estimating software database.
  • Assist with gaining quotes for materials from suppliers and filling accordingly.
  • Assist with preparing quotations for projects.
  • Assist with the company's social media postings.

Training: Apprenticeships include time away from working for specialist training. You’ll study to gain professional knowledge and skills.

Requirements:

  • GCSE in English (grade 9‑4 or A*‑C or FS Level 2)
  • GCSE in Maths (grade 9‑4 or A*‑C or FS Level 2)
