The Role
Are you an experienced Plumber / Pipefitter with a strong background in commercial installations? Do you have experience working on new build and refurbishment projects? If so, we have an excellent opportunity for you to join a well-established Chelmsford-based Mechanical Contractor with over 35 years of experience in designing and installing HVAC and plumbing systems for the education, healthcare, and commercial sectors. As part of our continued growth, we are looking for a skilled and reliable Plumber / Pipefitter to work across various sites in Essex and surrounding counties, including schools, care homes, offices, industrial units, and car showrooms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Installation of commercial heating and plumbing systems on new build and refurbishment projects.
- Working with copper, barrel, and press-fit pipework.
- Carrying out planned maintenance and servicing of completed installations.
- Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and in compliance with industry regulations.
- Liaising with clients and site teams to ensure smooth project delivery.
Plumber / Pipefitter – What we need from you
Key Skills & Experience:
- City & Guilds or NVQ Levels 2 & 3 in Plumbing / Pipefitting.
- Current CSCS Card.
- Unvented Hot Water Qualification.
- Experience using press tools, copper, and barrel pipework.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in a commercial setting.
- Strong communication skills and a good track record in the industry.
- Full clean UK driving licence.
