As a Consultant within the C&I team, you will deliver governance, risk, and compliance advisory services to clients across regulated sectors, with an initial focus on UK Defence and wider Government. You will work closely with organisations across the MoD and Defence ecosystem, helping them assess, improve, and evidence cyber security maturity against key frameworks and standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality client engagements across defence and government accounts
- Assess client environments, identify control gaps, and provide pragmatic, risk-based recommendations
- Support compliance against key frameworks and certification schemes
- Contribute to client proposals (RFP responses) alongside sales and account teams
- Own end-to-end delivery of engagements, ensuring quality, timeliness, and stakeholder satisfaction
- Support development of new service offerings within the Regulatory & Compliance practice.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
Essential
- You should have hands-on experience delivering against:
- UK Defence Cyber Certification (DCC) and Defence Standards (DefStans)
- North American frameworks, including CMMC and DFARS
- Secure by Design principles
- Proven experience in a client-facing consulting role within regulated environments
- Strong understanding of governance, risk, and compliance in defence or public sector contexts
- Ability to independently manage workload and deliver engagements
- Excellent written skills, with experience producing high-quality technical reports
- Confident presenting to both technical audiences and senior stakeholders
- Strong client management and relationship-building capability.
Desirable:
- GovAssure Cyber Assessment Framework (CAF)
- Current DV clearance strongly preferred
- Minimum SC clearance required, with eligibility to obtain DV
