The Opportunity:

Key Accountabilities:
- Working in the People Partnering Team, the role of ER Partner is vital in providing strong generalist support to our colleagues and people managers across our UK and European (Excluding Netherlands) based business areas.
- Responsible for handling general queries and providing advice on policies that arise through the People Services Team and providing guidance to our managers on employee relations matters, escalating more complex employee relations issues to the relevant HR Business Partner.
- You will need to keep abreast of employment law in the UK and have experience across Europe, to ensure our people processes and training materials are updated with any legal or process improvement changes as appropriate.
- In addition to generalist advisory support to the business, you will be involved in process improvement activity to help ensure a continuous improvement approach. You will also support our service deliver project, involving globalization of our people policies and the on-going development of self-serve approach for colleagues and managers.
- This role will involve data and reporting requirements to support the business areas as required, so you will need to be familiar with Workday and comfortable extracting data and reports.
In addition, you will have strong:
- HR expertise – A strong working knowledge of UK legislation including best practice and relevant case law, which may affect the business. Working knowledge and/or exposure to supporting European countries.
- Organisational skills – personal efficiency and the ability to prioritise competing demands are key, with a calm approach to instil confidence.
- Communication skills – the ability to build relationships and collaborate with others is vital, as is the ability to managing diverse personalities and viewpoints.
- Coaching and mentoring – Proficient skills in developing, challenging and coaching managers and team leaders.
- Commercial acumen – Keen interest in business and able to provide generalist advice aligned to business needs.
- Role model & ethical practice – you will be expected to demonstrate and lead on the values and support us in developing the culture of the organisation.
- Data management – you will be comfortable working with data and creation of reports.
Minimum Requirements:
- Experienced ER advisor with a proven track record of managing complex employee relations cases, while ensuring fairness and consistency.
- Ability to educate managers on procedures, employment law and best practice.
- CIPD qualified to minimum level 3 is desirable CIPD level 5 would be preferable.
- Experience of Workday HRIS.
