Halifax County Public Health System (HCPHS) is currently recruiting for a full-time Triple P (Positive Parenting Program) Coordinator to support the continued implementation in a ten-county area. This position will work directly with Halifax, Northampton, and Johnson County. The Triple P-Positive Parenting Program is a parenting and family support system designed to prevent as well as treat behavioral and emotional problems in children and teenagers. It aims to prevent problems in the family, school, and community before they arise and to create family environments that encourage children to realize their potential.

This person will be responsible for program and budget management, collecting and analyzing data, participating in local coalition conversations and community events to support the work, and coordinating and planning community events.

Requirements:

  • A master’s degree in public health education or in public health with a major in public health education; OR graduation from a four-year college or university with a major in health education and two years’ experience in public health education or a related field; OR graduation from a four-year college or university and three years’ experience in public health education; OR an equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Prefer applicants with experience working with child health providers, childcare providers, and families.
  • An appropriate driver’s license valid in the State of N.C. is also required.

All health department employees (with the exception of individuals with an accommodation or medical exemption) are required to get an annual flu shot vaccine as part of condition of employment.

Compensation:

The hiring range for this position is $42,435 - $53,729. Halifax County provides a comprehensive employee benefits package, including membership in the N.C. Local Government Employees’ Retirement System.
