As a systematic trading group in High Touch, we aim to leverage best-in-class technology and quantitative approaches to produce scalable and repeatable returns across the assets we trade, as well as innovation in how the division provides liquidity to our client franchise. We are looking for a core platform developer in London, with a passion for using technology to drive commercial results, to focus on building our equities systematic market making business. The team structure is designed to embrace hybrid skillsets across software development, quantitative research and trading.

SYSTEMATIC MARKET MAKING - Equities
The Systematic Market Making team creates principal liquidity solutions for clients and systematically unwinds principal risk. Strats and traders sit and work together to improve models and drive the business forward. Activities include ETF market making, synthetic baskets trading, benchmarked client facilitation, centralized risk management and systematic internalisation. The team uses algorithmic trading tools to transact in the market and statistical tools to make investment and execution decisions.

Role Responsibilities
- Developing a cutting-edge core platform for automated quoting, risk management and hedging algorithms for Equities SMM.
- Working with our algorithmic execution teams to ensure our connectivity and our liquidity provision to our client franchise continues to be best in class.
- Provide operational support for the trading system.
- Understanding the regulatory and supervisory environment and demonstrate ownership of our obligations and responsibilities under this.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Basic Qualifications
- Strong academic background in Computer Science or an analytical field such as Mathematics, Physics, Engineering.
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant markets/securities/trading experience is a plus but not required.
- Experience building Java and/or C++ based systems in a Linux environment is a plus but not required.
