The Emerging Markets structuring desk adds value to our clients by providing tailor-made financial solutions to help them manage risk, deploy capital and raise financing in innovative and creative ways. We cover clients based in Central and Eastern Europe, the Middle East and Africa ("CEEMEA"), as well as global institutional clients focussing on those markets. We specialize in structured solutions where the underlying risk is Fixed Income, Credit, FX or a combination of these.
Emerging Markets Structuring Team
Our core value is building strong relationships with our clients, which include corporations, financial service providers, and fund managers. We help them buy and sell financial products in various markets around the world, raise funding, and manage risk. This is a dynamic, entrepreneurial team with a joint passion for the markets comprising of individuals who thrive in fast-paced, changing environments and are energized by a bustling trading floor.
What we do
- Design and price derivatives, structured financing solutions and bespoke investments products across CEEMEA markets.
- Work alongside sales, including frequent international travel, to gain a deeper understanding of clients' financial needs in order to design innovative products that address them.
- Work alongside trading to ensure such solutions are structured in a thoughtful manner and make sense for the firm from a risk/reward perspective.
- Work with other key internal stakeholders (including legal, accounting and tax) to build robust and suitable solutions that take into account idiosyncratic regulatory environments in the different jurisdictions we operate in.
- Project-manage complex transactions, including taking them through various internal committees, in order to get them across the finish line.
Qualifications and Skills
- We are looking for versatile profiles with different quantitative and soft skills amongst: Intellectual curiosity, a proactive attitude and an eagerness to learn.
- 3-8 years of experience in Structuring / Trading.
- Ability to work on long term projects as well as being able to perform some tasks under pressure in the fast-paced environment.
- Strong written/verbal communication skills: the ability to communicate complex ideas in a simple and intuitive way.
- Strong teamwork skills are essential, great attention to detail, ability to multi-task.
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills with a good understanding of derivatives (some experience on a Structuring/Trading desk is a plus).
- Good macroeconomic understanding and passion for markets.
- Basic programming (Experience in Python/C++ is a plus).
- Excellent academic background, Bachelor/Master level in quantitative fields such as (but not exclusively) Statistics, Econometrics, Operations Research, Computer Science, Financial Engineering, Physics.
